Spatial journeys through place and history.

Let visitors hear the history of your place.

Sphere of Sound creates spatial audio tours and listening experiences for museums, exhibitions and heritage places. Stories, voices and soundscapes connect what visitors see with what happened here.

Sound-led experience design for culture, place and memory.

Experience the difference

A story that sounds as if you are standing inside it.

Voices, music and environmental sound are positioned around the listener. A room, object or landscape becomes part of the story — not merely its backdrop.

Three applications

Designed for collections, landscapes and moments of focus.

01

Audio tours that let a place speak

For permanent displays, temporary exhibitions and heritage routes.

02

Listening walks through landscape and memory

For estates and locations where interior and exterior form one story.

03

After-hours listening experiences

A potential pilot format in which visitors listen, look and slow down after closing time.

Pilot possibility

How we collaborate

One story. Four considered stages.

We work with curators, public-programme teams and existing media-guide partners. Compatibility with existing equipment is investigated in advance, never assumed.

  1. 01

    Define the story

Clarify the visitor question, place and narrative ambition.

  2. 02

    Design the route

Shape the concept, listening journey and spatial approach.

  3. 03

    Produce and test

Create the work and listen on location with the team.

  4. 04

    Deliver and evaluate

Prepare the agreed formats and review the experience.

Frequently asked

Practical questions, answered.

Is new equipment required?+

That depends on the existing environment and chosen experience. We investigate this in advance with the technical partner.

Can you work with an existing audio tour?+

We can develop new or additional audio and first assess the technical and editorial conditions.

Can it suit quieter programmes?+

We can design tempo, intensity, silence and moments of choice accordingly. Suitability for a specific audience is tested together.

How long does production take?+

Timing depends on content, languages, rights and technology. A proposal includes a timeline after the first exploration.
